2 month checkup for Carson

Carson was a trooper today. He had to get 4 shots for his first big round of vaccinations. He cried but fortunately we were able to distract him with a bottle so he didn't cry very long. I couldn't watch--it upset me too much. He also has caught his first cold and the doctor decided that he would prescribe him a cold medication because Carson's congestion is causing him difficulties breathing when he eats. I guess that's another first (cold!). Finally, he's still growing really well and checked out at 14 lbs 14 oz and 25 inches long. One more inch to go before he outgrows his infant car seat!!

Carson's First Plane Ride

This past weekend we took Carson on his first plane ride. We went to Ohio so Carson could meet his Great Grandma Embree and Great Grandma and Grandpa VanDyke. He did really well on the airplane--didn't make a peep!

New pictures

I hope you like the new pictures. It took me a while to get these posted but I will try to get better at keeping this fresh. Carson is growing well--at his one month check up he weighed 13 lbs and was 24 inches long. He's really close to sleeping through the night...last night he slept from 11:40pm-5:30 am which was nice for me! We've had lots of visitors the last few weeks and Carson has been very busy---he's been to our new lake cottage in Alabama 3 times now, went to the Grand Ole Opry, and went to a NASCAR truck race (don't worry--it didn't hurt his ears since we were in a suite inside).
